Hanoi is known as the capital of Vietnam, the “city for peace”, etc. Actually, Hanoi in my eyes is much more than that, Hanoi is my childhood, Hanoi is one of my soul.
It’s so hard for me to say what I like best in Hanoi because Hanoi is my love and when you love someone, nothing is bad. I love Hanoi when I was just 3 years old, when I could feel the world. If you ask me, I’ll say it’s the forever love. Even when I went to Beijing, Singapore, Paris, and many luxurious cities in the world, Hanoi is still in my heart, nothing can change.
If I have to choose which I like best in Hanoi, I’ll say it’s pavement culture. Nowhere like Hanoi, where you can see both poor and rich people stay together and talk together. No matter who you are, no matter what your nationality is, you are here and Hanoi welcome you. Partof the joy of summer though perhaps not today is that we can spend a greater part of our time outdoors, playing, sitting, eating and drinking. And nowhere can you find this pleasure of open air-living than in Hanoi.
If I can, I want to bring this image of Hanoi to foreigners, a friendly image so they can feel Hanoi as their home. My idea is: I will design a brochure about pavement culture in Hanoi (consists both street coffee shops, street restaurants and much more than that) This brochure will be given (for free) to the foreigners and when they come back to their countries, they can introduce this to their friends (like a kind of “Word of Mouth”)
